A 7-year-old with severe autismBromley LBC

Before Vayacare, this child would arrive at school in a state of severe distress after unpredictable handovers. Within three weeks of the communication passport being introduced and Marcus being trained on her specific needs, her school reported a dramatic improvement in morning readiness. Her mother said: “For the first time, I don't cry when the van leaves.”

Improved school engagement · reduced family stress
A 14-year-old with complex traumaLewisham LBC

This young person had previously refused transport entirely due to a history of frightening experiences in vehicles. Our trauma-informed PA team built trust over eight weeks, using a graduated exposure approach. He now attends a specialist college five days a week.

Full college attendance achieved · independence pathway begun

Our commitments

Living wage employer
All Vayacare drivers and PAs are paid at or above the Living Wage Foundation rate. We believe the people caring for our most vulnerable children deserve fair pay.
Local recruitment
Over 70% of our drivers live within 5 miles of their routes. We recruit locally and reduce empty miles.
Fleet electrification
We are transitioning to all-electric vehicles by 2030. 8 of our 24 vehicles are now zero-emission.
Community partnerships
We partner with Contact (disabled children charity), SEND National Network, and local SEND parent groups to inform our practice.
