Accessibility
Accessibility statement
Vayacare is committed to making all our products accessible to everyone — including the families, children, and professionals who rely on them. This statement applies to all Vayacare digital products as of 1 January 2026.
Compliance status by product
Accessibility adjustments we've made
Large text support
All apps respect OS-level font size settings. Text scales up to 200% without horizontal scrolling loss.
High contrast mode
Apps detect OS high-contrast settings. Design tokens are mapped to contrast-safe alternatives automatically.
Screen reader support
All interactive elements have ARIA labels. Dynamic content (ETAs, alerts) uses live regions so screen reader users are notified without manual navigation.
Colour-independent information
No information is conveyed by colour alone. Status indicators (incident tier, compliance) always include a text label or icon.
Keyboard navigation
All web portals (LA, ops, parent web) are fully navigable by keyboard. Focus order follows reading order. Skip-to-content links present.
Communication passports in plain language
All communication passport templates are written in plain language by our inclusion team. Available in Easy Read on request.
Known accessibility issues
We are transparent about issues we are aware of and working to fix.
LA portal · map view
Route map pins do not have sufficient ARIA labels in all states. Screen reader users may not receive full stop information. Target fix: June 2026.
Parent app · live tracking
Vehicle position updates do not announce automatically to screen reader. User must manually refresh. Target fix: July 2026.
