SPECIALIST SEND HOME-TO-SCHOOL TRANSPORT
The same driver, every day. Engineered through bonded driver pools, not promised.

Vayacare is an operator, not a broker. We employ every driver and Passenger Assistant on PAYE, run our own dispatch, and own our compliance. The LA gets a single SLA-bound point of accountability — not a procurement chain.

FAMILY STORY · BROMLEY
“Esme didn't speak for the first three weeks. Marcus knew not to push it.”

Esme is seven, and selectively mute. She's been at Glebe House for two years. Before Vayacare she had eleven different drivers in twelve months.

“The first week with Marcus was hard. He didn't try to make her talk. He just played her playlist — Dance Monkey on loop — and waited. By week four she was nodding hello. By month three she was telling him about her cat.”

“She's never going to be a chatty child in the car. But she's calm. She gets to school regulated. The teachers say her mornings are completely different now.”

YOUR FIRST WEEKS · WHAT TO EXPECT
The five things you can rely on.
1
A meet-and-greet at home
Before the first journey, your driver and PA come to your home — with you and the school SENCo. No first day unprepared.
2
One driver, where humanly possible
We commit in writing to a primary driver. If they're ill, you'll meet one of two named cover drivers — never a stranger.
3
Passport from day one
You write your child's communication passport in the app. The driver memorises it before week one.
4
Live tracking, not vague reassurance
You can see exactly where your child is, every minute, until they're safely inside the school gate.
5
One number for everything
Concerns, compliments, safeguarding — one number, answered in person, 24/7.

Six years ago I was the operations lead on a SEND transport contract.

One Tuesday a six-year-old boy with autism and a peanut allergy was put on the wrong minibus by a sub-contracted driver who didn't speak English. He spent forty-five minutes lost in West London.

He was found. He was fine. The mother was not.

I left the public sector that month. It took five years to design what I thought was missing — and one more to actually build it.

Today Vayacare runs ninety-two routes for fourteen Local Authorities. Ninety-two percent of our journeys are with the same driver every day. Zero serious incidents in the last twelve months. Mother of the boy from that 2019 morning sits on our Family Advisory Board.

If you commission SEND transport, I'd like to show you how we do it. No deck, no pitch — just a working session with our COO Lauren and our Head of Safeguarding Hilary.

DM me. I'll come to you.

DAY 0 · TUE 09:30FROM: lauren@vayacare.co.uk
Subject: Are you happy with the company moving Y6 next September?
Helen, I'm Lauren — COO at Vayacare. We run specialist SEND transport for fourteen LAs across the South-East. Bromley's Y6 transition into specialist secondary is in 19 weeks. From the LGA dataset, your incumbent renewed in 2022 on a 3+1 basis. So you're either deep in re-tender or about to be. I'm not pitching. I want to share the model we use to hit 92% same-driver consistency — because regardless of who you go with, asking a future bidder for that one number changes the room. 15 minutes? I'll come to you. — Lauren

DAY 7 · TUE 09:30FROM: lauren@vayacare.co.uk
Subject: Sending one number, then I'll go away
Helen, 92%. That's our same-primary-driver rate over the last 90 days, across 1,284 journeys, audited by an independent DSL. Our nearest rival is at 70%. Brokered ops typically run 50–60%. If 92% would change a procurement scoring conversation for you, I'd love a 15-min chat. If not, I'll close the loop here and not write again. — Lauren
DAY 21 · TUE 09:30FROM: lauren@vayacare.co.uk
Subject: Closing the loop · one resource
Helen, Closing the loop as promised — won't email again. If it's any help, here is the 4-page case study from our Bromley pilot. Helen Page (no relation, your cluster lead's namesake) is happy to take a peer call. Hope your Y6 transition goes brilliantly. — Lauren
